The company “Global Stores, a.s.” was incorporated in 1998 as a subsidiary of the UNIMEX GROUP, which has become the first franchise partner of OBI in the Czech Republic. The Global Stores company is focused on operation of the franchised OBI hypermarkets in accordance with the rights and obligations outlined by the Franchise Agreement. The hypermarkets of Global Stores have been focused, since the very beginning, both on the customers who improve or build up their living or recreation facilities in line with the Do-It-Yourself motto and on small businesses or entrepreneurs.
